The ALC on board shall be maintained functional at all time, whether at sea or in port.The ALC on board any fishing vessel shall automatically transmit at least one vessel position in every hour.Fees for ALC services and communications shall be borne by distant water fisheries operators. The competent authority may grant subsidy depending on the financial situation of the government.Except for the purpose of repair or replacement approved by the competent authority, any ALC which has been installed on board and has transmitted a vessel position shall not be removed from any fishing vessel.

漁船應維持船位回報器全年正常運作，漁船進港時，亦同。
漁船船位回報器應至少每小時自動回報一次船位。
船位回報器回報船位所需之通訊服務費用，由經營者負擔。
主管機關得視財政狀況酌予補助。
船位回報器除因維修或更換之目的，經主管機關許可外，不得將已裝設且回報船位之船位回報器自漁船上移離。
