Fisheries Act Article 37
The competent authority may impose restriction(s) on respective specified fishery regarding the total number and tonnage of fishing vessel(s), operating area(s), operating period(s), and other matters, if any of the following circumstances occurs:(1)Conservation of aquatic resources.(2)Adjustment of fisheries structure.(3)Restrictions from international fisheries agreements or fisheries cooperation with foreign countries.

有左列各款情形之一者，主管機關得對各特定漁業之漁船總船數、總噸數、作業海域、經營期間及其他事項，予以限制：
一、水產資源之保育。
二、漁業結構之調整。
三、國際漁業協定或對外漁業合作條件之限制。
