Fishermen Associations Act Article 21-1
Any member of a fishermen association meeting the following requirements may register candidacy for an election of directors or supervisors:(1)He/she has been affiliated for two years or more.(2)He/she graduated from a junior high school or an elementary school and served as a director, supervisor, member representative, secretary general, or chief or deputy chief of the fishermen task force for one term or more.(3)He/she has engaged in fisheries which meets the qualifications set forth by the central competent authority.For directors and supervisors candidates as referred to in subparagraph (3) of the preceding paragraph, regulations for determining the qualifications of having engaged in fisheries, screening procedures, and other requirements to be complied with, shall be prescribed by the central competent authority.

漁會會員合於左列規定，得登記為漁會理事、監事候選人：
一、入會滿二年以上。
二、國民中學以上學校畢業或國民小學畢業並曾任漁會理事、監事、會員代表、總幹事、漁民小組組長、副組長一任以上。
三、實際從事漁業符合中央主管機關所定之資格。
前項第三款漁會理事、監事候選人實際從事漁業資格之認定、審查程序及其他應遵行事項之辦法，由中央主管機關定之。
