Regulations on the Management of Crew Members of Fishing Vessels Article 5-1
To protect rights and interests of fishing vessel crew as well as ensure navigation and operation safety, fishery operators shall:1. Employ qualified officer(s) and ordinary crew to the required number.2. Provide, repair, or replace resources such as navigational equipment, life-saving appliances, and vessel equipment.3. Urge captains to implement the requirement of wearing life jackets by crew during fishing operations on deck.4. Immediately notify the relevant competent authorities in case of injuries and demise of any crew or any other major emergency, and shall urge captains to enter a port expeditiously or conduct emergent medical treatments or dispositons in accordance with the results of medical consultations.5. Provide portable water, food, first aid kit, and protective equipement for work, sufficient for the duration of crew’s stay at sea and in accordance with the size of fishing vessels and number of crew.6. Conduct other matters as required by laws and regulations.For the first aid kit as referred to in subparagraph (5) of the preceding paragraph, the medicines and types of equipment that shall be placed therein are announced by the central competent authority.

為保障漁船船員權益，並確保航行作業安全，漁業人應辦理下列事項：
一、僱用足額之合格幹部船員及普通船員。
二、漁航儀器、救生設備及船用設備等資源之提供、維修或更換。
三、督促船長落實要求船員於甲板上從事漁撈作業時，須穿著救生衣。
四、漁船於海上作業期間，發生船員傷亡或其他重大急難事件，應即時通報主管機關及相關權責機關，並督促船長依醫療諮詢結果緊急進港或為緊急救護及處置。
五、依漁船規模及船員人數，提供船員出海期間所需足量之飲用水、膳食、醫藥箱及工作保護裝備。
六、其他依法令應辦理之事項。
前項第五款醫藥箱應配置之藥品及器材種類，由中央主管機關公告之。
