Regulations for Fishing Vessels Conducting Saury Fishery in North Pacific Ocean Article 3

Fishing vessels proceeding to the north Pacific Ocean for saury fishing operations (hereinafter referred to as “saury fishing vessels”) shall be limited to those whose main fishery type registered in their fishing licenses is squid jigging and which also engage in part-time saury stick-held net fishery. Fishing vessels engaged in fishing for Pacific saury in the North Pacific (hereinafter referred to as “Pacific saury fishing vessels”) shall be limited to those whose primary fishery type specified in their fishing licenses is squid jigging and which are also licensed to operate Pacific saury stick-held dip net fishing.
