Regulations for the Fishing Operations of Coastal and Offshore Tuna Longline Fishing Vessels Article 23
Tuna longline fishing vessels shall receive the placement of observer(s) as dispatched by the central competent authority for observation mission onboard.Any fishery operator of a fishing vessel that receives the observer(s) dispatched by the central competent authority shall comply with the following:(1) He/She shall embark and disembark the observer(s) at the time and place informed by the central competent authority or the organization commissioned by the central competent authority.(2) He/She shall provide the observer(s), while onboard the vessel, with food, accommodation, adequate sanitary amenities, and medical facilities of a reasonable standard equivalent to those normally available to an officer onboard the vessel.(3) He/She shall instruct the captain and crew of the vessel matters related to the cooperation with or assisting the observer(s) in carrying out the duties.

鮪延繩釣漁船應接受中央主管機關指派之觀察員隨船觀察作業。
經中央主管機關指派觀察員隨船者，該漁船漁業人應辦理下列事項：
一、依中央主管機關或其委託之團體通知之時間及地點，接載觀察員上船或送返港口。
二、提供觀察員相當於幹部船員之生活照顧，包括膳食、住宿、衛生設備及醫療。
三、指示船長及船員，應配合及協助觀察員執行任務所需之相關事項。
經中央主管機關指派觀察員隨船者，該漁船漁業人應辦理下列事項：
一、依中央主管機關或其委託之團體通知之時間及地點，接載觀察員上船或送返港口。
二、提供觀察員相當於幹部船員之生活照顧，包括膳食、住宿、衛生設備及醫療。
三、指示船長及船員，應配合及協助觀察員執行任務所需之相關事項。
