Regulations for Tuna Longline Fishing Vessels Operating in the Maritime Area Subject to the Fisheries Agreement between Taiwan and Japan Article 12
During the period from 1 April to 31 July every year, any longline fishing vessel operating in the water demarcated with straight lines connected among point D, E, and F in the attached figure shall comply with the following rules:For the water demarcated with straight lines connected among point D, M, and N, as well as the water demarcated with straight lines connected among point E, F, P and south of 250 15' N in the attached figure, any fishing vessel shall set longline(s) in the south-north direction, and the distance between vessels shall be at least four nautical miles.For the water demarcated with straight lines connected among point N, M, E, and P in the attached figure:The time to start a setting shall, in principle, be at 00:00 midnight Taiwan time and 12:00 noon Taiwan time, and hauling operations shall be completed as soon as possible.Direction of a setting and distance between sets: any longline fishing vessel shall set longline(s) in the east-west direction. For a fishing vessel operating east of 1230 30' E, the direction of a setting shall be from the west to the east, and the setting shall not exceed 124°E. For a fishing vessel operating west of 1230 30' E, the direction of a setting shall be from the east to the west, and the setting shall not exceed 123°E. The distance between sets shall reach at least 1 nautical mile in the south-north direction.Longliner gears shall not drift outside 124°3' E.

每年四月一日至七月三十一日，在附圖D、E、F三點點位以直線連結之海域，其作業規定如下：
一、在附圖D、M、N三點點位以直線連結之海域及E、F、P三點點位以直線連結且在北緯二十五度十五分以南之海域，漁船應南北向投繩，且作業漁船間距至少四浬。
二、在附圖N、M、E、P四點點位以直線連結之海域：
（一）投繩開始時間以臺灣時間午夜十二時及中午十二時為原則，並應儘速完成揚繩。
（二）投繩方向及距離：漁船應東西向投繩；東經一百二十三度三十分以東，由西向東投繩，且不得超過東經一百二十四度；東經一百二十三度三十分以西，由東向西投繩，且不得超過東經一百二十三度；南北間距至少一浬。
（三）繩具最遠不得流出超過東經一百二十四度三分。
一、在附圖D、M、N三點點位以直線連結之海域及E、F、P三點點位以直線連結且在北緯二十五度十五分以南之海域，漁船應南北向投繩，且作業漁船間距至少四浬。
二、在附圖N、M、E、P四點點位以直線連結之海域：
