Regulations for Conservation Forest Managements Article 4
A number shall be assigned to each protection forest in accordance with the regulation prescribed by the central competent authority.The competent authority conduct an inspection and review of the protection forest according to their numbers every ten years. If the competent authority evaluated the forest stand and the status of the land to be stable, the inspection and review can be extended for five years.A special inspection and review shall be conducted if the protection forest having any of the followings:1.Where there is an event of natural disaster.2.Where the central or local competent authority classified such protection forest as the land use control district or land use classification not for forestry in accordance with Regional Plan Act or Urban Plan Act.3.Where the status is not for forestry.The inspection and review shall be conducted in general consideration of the original purpose of such protection forest, the results of the survey of the forest stand and the status of the forest, the status of the land and the cadastral registration. The conclusion of such inspection and review shall be reported to, approved and published by the central competent authority.The regulatory agency of the national and/or public forest concerned shall prepare a protection forest management plan according to the conclusion of the inspection and review provided in the preceding paragraph and report the same to the central competent authority for implementation.

保安林應依中央主管機關規定編號。
主管機關依保安林編號別，每十年施行檢訂。
但經中央主管機關評估林相、地況穩定者，得延長五年。
保安林內有下列情形之一者，應專案施行檢訂：
一、發生天然災害。
二、經區域計畫法或都市計畫法之中央或地方主管機關依法劃設為非屬林業使用之分區或使用地類別。
三、其他使用現況非屬林業使用。
檢訂時應通盤檢討保安林之原編入目的、調查林相、林況、地況及清查地籍，檢訂結果應報經中央主管機關核定並公告之。
國、公有林管理機關應依前項檢訂結果擬訂保安林管理計畫，報經中央主管機關核定實施。
