Middle-aged and Elderly Employment Promotion Act Article 4
The Act shall be applicable to any of the following persons no fewer than forty-five years old:1.The citizens of the Republic of China.2.The foreigners, people of the mainland China area, residents of Hong Kong or Macao who have been permitted to stay in the Taiwan area and have marriage with the citizens with registered household in the territory of the Republic of China.3.The foreigners, people of the mainland China area, residents of Hong Kong or Macao referred to the preceding sub-paragraph who are still permitted to stay in the Taiwan area for work pursuant to laws and regulations, even though divorced with their spouses or his/her spouses are deceased.

本法適用對象為年滿四十五歲之下列人員：
一、本國國民。
二、與在中華民國境內設有戶籍之國民結婚，且獲准在臺灣地區居留之外國人、大陸地區人民、香港或澳門居民。
三、前款之外國人、大陸地區人民、香港或澳門居民，與其配偶離婚或其配偶死亡，而依法規規定得在臺灣地區繼續居留工作者。
