Labor Inspection Act Article 5
(Ⅰ)Labor inspection shall be enforced by the labor inspection agency which is established by the Central Competent Authority or by the delegation of inspection power from the Central Competent Authority to the municipal competent authorities or relevant agencies. When necessary, the labor inspection agency may conduct joint inspection with the county (city) competent authority.(Ⅱ)The power of labor inspection as prescribed above shall be delegated according to the requirements in the Act and under the direction and supervision of the Central Competent Authority.(Ⅲ)The criteria of the organization and staff for the labor inspection agency shall be developed by the Central Competent Authority according to the number of business entities which shall be inspected and the characteristics of each inspection region, and shall be approved by the Executive Yuan.

勞動檢查由中央主管機關設勞動檢查機構或授權直轄市主管機關或有關機關專設勞動檢查機構辦理之。
勞動檢查機構認有必要時，得會同縣（市）主管機關檢查。
前項授權之勞動檢查，應依本法有關規定辦理，並受中央主管機關之指揮監督。
勞動檢查機構之組織、員額設置基準，依受檢查事業單位之數量、地區特性，由中央主管機關擬訂，報請行政院核定之。
