Labor Insurance Act Article 9-1
An insured person who has joined the scheme for a total period of more than 15 years and who has been laid off, may participate in the insurance coverage voluntarily. Under such circumstances, the original insured unit shall take care of ordinary labor insurance procedures until the insured person reaches the age when he is entitled to claim old-age benefit.Measures concerning the labor insurance procedure and premium of an insured person mentioned in the preceding paragraph shall be promulgated by the competent central authority.

被保險人參加保險，年資合計滿十五年，被裁減資遣而自願繼續參加勞工保險者，由原投保單位為其辦理參加普通事故保險，至符合請領老年給付之日止。
前項被保險人繼續參加勞工保險及保險給付辦法，由中央主管機關定之。
