Regulations Governing the Management of Designated Scenic Areas Article 5
In accordance with the preceding stipulations, the ranking and ambit of the national scenic areas, the Tourism Administration shall report its conclusions to the MOTC for approval and forwarding to the Executive Yuan for approval and announcement. The ranking and ambit of special municipality scenic areas shall be announced by special municipality government or county (city) governments after the Tourism Administration reports its conclusions to the MOTC for approval.For county (city) scenic areas where the county (city) governments have been restructured into the special municipality governments, announcement shall be made by the special municipality governments following restructuring.

依前條規定評鑑為國家級風景特定區者，其等級及範圍，由交通部觀光署報經交通部核轉行政院核定後公告之；其為直轄市級或縣（市）級者，其等級及範圍，由交通部觀光署報交通部核定後，由所在地之直轄市政府、縣（市）政府公告之。
縣（市）級風景特定區，所在縣（市）改制為直轄市者，由改制後之直轄市政府公告變更其等級名稱。
縣（市）級風景特定區，所在縣（市）改制為直轄市者，由改制後之直轄市政府公告變更其等級名稱。
