Meteorological Act Article 24
Should a government agency, institution, organization, or individual take one of the following action, the CWA shall order the violator to terminate the actions and to take the necessary remedies within a specified time frame. Non-compliance with the order shall result in a fine of no less than NT$100,000 to no more than NT$500,000. Such penalty may be imposed with each occurrence of violation. Severe violation may result in the revocation of the permit:1. Issuing a weather or marine weather forecast(s) without obtaining permission or beyond the scope of authorization in violation of the terms of Paragraph 1, Article 18.2. Issuing a weather or marine weather forecast(s) that does not comply with the terms of Paragraph 2, Article 18.Should a government agency, institution, organization, or individual violate the terms of Paragraph 1, Article 18 and issue an earthquake forecast(s) or a warning(s) of meteorological, seismological, or marine meteorological phenomena, the CWA shall order the violator to terminate the action and to take the necessary remedies within a specified time frame. Non-compliance with the order shall result in a fine of no less than NT$200,000 to no more than NT$1,000,000. Such penalty may be imposed with each occurrence of violation. Severe violation may result in the revocation of the permit.Violation of Article 19, erroneously reporting a warning(s) or an earthquake, weather or marine weather forecast(s), or reporting the aforementioned warning(s) and forecast(s) without complying with the terms of Paragraph 2, Article 19 and failing to make immediate correction after receiving a notice from the CWA, shall result in a fine of no less than NT$100,000 to no more than NT$500,000. Such penalty may be imposed with each occurrence of violation.

機關、學校、團體或個人有下列情形之一者，中央氣象局應命其停止，並限期改善；其拒不停止或屆期不改善者，處新臺幣十萬元以上五十萬元以下罰鍰；並得按次處罰。
情節重大者，並得廢止其許可：
一、違反第十八條第一項規定，未經許可或逾越許可範圍擅自發布氣象或海象預報。
二、未依第十八條第二項規定之方式發布氣象或海象預報。
機關、學校、團體或個人違反第十八條第一項規定，擅自發布地震之預報或氣象、地震或海象警報者，中央氣象局應命其停止，並限期改善；其拒不停止或屆期不改善者，處新臺幣二十萬元以上一百萬元以下罰鍰；並得按次處罰。
情節重大者，得廢止其許可。
違反第十九條規定，對警報、地震、氣象或海象之預報報導錯誤或未依規定方式報導，經中央氣象局通知更正而不立即更正者，得處新臺幣十萬元以上五十萬元以下罰鍰；並得按次處罰。
