The Law of Ships Article 85
R.O.C. nationals must pass the ship surveyor's examination and applied to the shipping administration authority for issuance of a practicing certificate before engaging in the practice.During the practice as a ship surveyor, ship surveyors may not be engaged in work related to the duty of a ship surveyor such as private or public shipping carrier business, shipping agency business or shipbuilding factories, etc.
中文原文 船舶法第85條
中華民國國民經驗船師考試及格，向航政機關申請發給執業證書，始得執業。
驗船師執業期間，不得同時從事公民營船舶運送業、船務代理業或造船廠等與驗船師職責有關之工作。
