Seafarer's Service Regulations Article 74-1
The cadets under the first paragraph of the previous article are divided into deck cadets, engineer cadets and electric cadets. Cadets’ onboard internship shall be at least one year.When an employer employs a cadet or trainee for onboard internship (training), the parties shall sign a fixed-term seafarer employment contract.Under the fixed-term seafarer employment contract under the previous paragraph, the employer shall pay to the cadets (trainees) at least the wages according to the R.O.C. seafarer minimum monthly salary standards.The employer shall provide adequate quality food, bedroom, bedding, tableware and personal safety equipment for all cadets and trainees.

前條第一項實習生分為航海實習生、輪機實習生及電技實習生；實習生上船實習期間至少一年。
雇用人僱用實習生或見習生上船實（見）習時，雙方應簽訂船員定期僱傭契約。
前項定期僱傭契約，雇用人應至少按中華民國船員最低月薪資表之實（見）習生職務規定支給薪資。
雇用人應為實習生或見習生提供質量適當之食物、臥室、寢具、餐具及個人安全防護用具。
雇用人僱用實習生或見習生上船實（見）習時，雙方應簽訂船員定期僱傭契約。
