Regulations for Passenger Ship Administration Article 80
When computing the area of passenger cabins, the following places shall be excluded:1. Passages,2. The areas above hatchways,3. Hatches and places within 60cm of the circumference thereof, and4. Cargo ports and places within 35cm in front and rear thereof, within a width of 60cm from the circumference of the ports.The shipping administration authority or ship register institute may include the areas mentioned in Item 2 to 4 of the previous paragraph into calculations when requested by the owner of a passenger ship navigating inland water routes.

計算乘客艙室面積時，下列處所不應予以列計：
一、通道。
二、艙口上面。
三、艙口及其周圍六十公分以內處所。
四、載貨門及前後各三十五公分，其寬度達艙口周圍六十公分之處所。
僅航行內水航線之客船，航政機關或驗船機構得應船舶所有人之申請，將前項第二款至第四款面積列入計算。
