A commercial automobile business should announce notices to make claims for carried goods, safekeeping items, or items left behind of unknown ownership, and may receive ownership of items that have not been claimed by the oblige after 1 year of announcement.Automobile transportation providers may auction the carried goods, safekeeping items, or items left behind described in this article during the announcement period, if the item may easily decay by nature, is difficult to take care of, or if its value will obviously not compensate the transportation and miscellaneous expenses, and temporarily keep the auctioned income.
中文原文 公路法第53條
汽車運輸業對於站、車內所有人不明之運送物、寄存品或遺留物，應公告招領之；公告逾一年，仍無權利人領取時，取得其所有權。
前項運送物、寄存品或遺留物，如有易於腐壞之性質，或其保管困難，或顯見其價值不足抵償運雜費時，汽車運輸業得於公告期間先行拍賣，保管其價金。
