Railway Act Article 7
Land required by railways may be acquired by eminent domain under the Land Act and/or relevant acts.When planning for the construction or broadening of railways, route width shall be surveyed and required land shall be assigned according to railway usage in collaboration with land administration authorities. Before land located within urban project districts is used, urban project modifications must first be conducted, while private land may be reserved for acquisition by eminent domain. During the reservation period, land within the range of urban planning districts is subject to the Urban Planning Act, while other land is subject to the Land Act.

鐵路需用土地，得依土地法及有關法律規定徵收之。
鐵路規劃興建或拓寬時，應勘定路線寬度，商同當地地政機關編為鐵路使用地；該使用地在已實施都市計畫地區者，應先行辦理都市計畫之變更。
其為私有土地者，得保留徵收；其保留期間，在都市計畫地區範圍內者，依都市計畫法之規定；餘依土地法之規定辦理。
