The Standards Act Article 5
Items covered by national standards are as follows:1. category, grade, performance, composition, structure, form, dimension, type, quality, durability or safety, and marking of a product.2. method of design, drawing, production, storage, transportation or use of a product, or safety and hygienic conditions during the process of its production, storage or transportation.3. category, grade, performance, structure, form, dimension or method of a product’s packaging.4. method of inspection, analysis, appraisement, examination or testing of a product, engineering work or environmental protection.5. terms, abbreviations, symbols, codes, constant or unit relating to a product, engineering technology or environmental protection.6. design, drawing or construction methods or safety conditions of an engineering work.7. all other items where standardization is appropriate.

國家標準規範之項目如下：
一、產品之種類、等級、性能、成分、構造、形狀、尺度、型式、品質、耐久度或安全度及標示。
二、產品之設計、製圖、生產、儲存、運輸或使用等方法，或其生產、儲存或運輸過程中之安全及衛生條件。
三、產品包裝之種類、等級、性能、構造、形狀、尺度或包裝方法。
四、產品、工程或環境保護之檢驗、分析、鑑定、檢查或試驗方法。
