Regulations Governing Implementation of Voluntary Product Certification Article 2
The terms used by these Regulations are defined as follows:1. Certification body: It means that the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (hereinafter referred to as the “BSMI”) or his branches, or the other government agency, the juristic person or organization commissioned by BSMI.2. Product Certification: It means that the products are certified with conformity assessments impartially and independently so as to ensure the products made by manufacturers are in compliance with the specified standards and testing items.

本辦法用詞定義如下：
一、驗證機關（構）：指經濟部標準檢驗局（以下簡稱標準檢驗局）、其所屬轄區分局或受託之其他政府機關、法人或團體。
二、產品驗證：指對產品執行公正獨立之符合性評鑑，以證明廠商所產製之產品符合指定之標準及試驗項目。
