Regulations for Reduction and Exemption of Patent Annuities Article 7
A patentee who has pre-paid the patent annuity and qualifies for reduction or exemption of patent annuity in accordance with the Regulations may apply for reduction or exemption of the remaining undue patent annuities from the following year onward.In the event that the reduction of patent annuity has been granted and the patentee has pre-paid the deducted patent annuity but does not qualify for reduction in accordance with the Regulations, the patentee shall pay the balance from the following year onward.

專利權人於預繳專利年費後，符合本辦法規定得減免專利年費者，得自次年起，就尚未到期之專利年費申請減免。
專利權人經專利專責機關准予減收專利年費並已預繳專利年費後，不符合本辦法規定得減收專利年費者，應自次年起補繳其差額。
