Detention Act Article 25
Work time shall be determined in consideration of guidance, quantity, type of work, status of equipment, and other conditions and it shall not exceed eight hours a day. However, work time may be extended under special circumstances. The extended work time plus regular work time shall not exceed twelve hours a day.The extended work time for defendants specified in the preceding paragraph shall have the consent of the defendant before it is put into effect, and the defendant shall receive overtime pay.

作業時間應斟酌生活輔導、數量、作業之種類、設備之狀況及其他情形定之，每日不得逾八小時。
但有特殊情形，得將作業時間延長之，延長之作業時間連同正常作業時間，一日不得超過十二小時。
前項延長被告作業時間，應經本人同意後實施，並應給與超時勞作金。
