Prison Act Article 89
Where an inmate damages utensils, finished products, materials, or other objects intentionally or due to gross negligence, the inmate shall pay indemnification for the damages.Where the inmate fails to pay indemnification specified in the preceding paragraph, the prison may deduct the amount from the inmate’s money under safekeeping or labor wage.

受刑人因故意或重大過失，致損害器具、成品、材料或其他物品時，應賠償之。
前項賠償之金額，受刑人未為給付者，得自其保管金或勞作金內扣還之。
