Where the period of limitation of prosecution of punishment was in progress but not completed before the proviso in item 1 of paragraph 1 of Article 80 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of China was amended on May 10, 2019, instead of the pre-amended article, the post-amended provision shall apply.
