A person who counterfeits or alters a ticket issued to transport a passenger on a vessel, train, electric car, or any other similar ticket with the intention to circulate shall be sentenced to for not more than one year, short-term imprisonment, or a fine of not more than nine thousand dollars; a person who puts it into circulation shall be subject to the same punishment.
