Criminal Code of the Republic of China Article 179

A person who by flooding causes damage to an unoccupied dwelling house that belongs to another or who by flooding causes damage to an unoccupied structure or mine which belongs to another shall be sentenced to imprisonment for not less than one year but not more than seven years.A person who by flooding endangers public safety by causing damage to a thing belonging to him specified in the preceding paragraph shall be sentenced to imprisonment for not less than six months but not more than five years.A person who negligently by flooding causes damage to a thing specified in paragraph 1 shall be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than six months, short-term imprisonment, or a fine of not more than nine thousand dollars.A person who negligently by flooding endangers public safety by causing damage to a thing specified in the preceding paragraph shall be subject to same punishment.An attempt to commit an offense specified in paragraph 1 is punishable.

決水浸害現非供人使用之他人所有住宅或現未有人所在之他人所有建築物或礦坑者，處一年以上七年以下有期徒刑。
決水浸害前項之自己所有物，致生公共危險者，處六月以上五年以下有期徒刑。
因過失決水浸害第一項之物者，處六月以下有期徒刑、拘役或九千元以下罰金。
因過失決水浸害前項之物，致生公共危險者，亦同。
第一項之未遂犯罰之。
決水浸害前項之自己所有物，致生公共危險者，處六月以上五年以下有期徒刑。
因過失決水浸害第一項之物者，處六月以下有期徒刑、拘役或九千元以下罰金。
因過失決水浸害前項之物，致生公共危險者，亦同。
