Criminal Code of the Republic of China Article 177

A person who endangers public safety by causing to escape or by obstructing the flow of steam, electricity, gas or another gaseous substance shall be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than three years, short-term imprisonment, or a fine of not more than nine thousand dollars.If the offense results in death, the offender shall be sentenced to life imprisonment or imprisonment for not less than seven years; if the offenses results in serious physical injury, the offender shall be sentenced to imprisonment for not less than three years but not more than ten years.

漏逸或間隔蒸氣、電氣、煤氣或其他氣體，致生公共危險者，處三年以下有期徒刑、拘役或九千元以下罰金。
因而致人於死者，處無期徒刑或七年以上有期徒刑；致重傷者，處三年以上十年以下有期徒刑。
