A security payable by an assigned person is an instrument whereby a person directs another person to deliver to a third party money or valuable securities or other fungible things.Under the preceding paragraph, the person who directs is called the assignor; the person who is directed is called the assignee; and the person to whom presentation is made is called the payee.

稱指示證券者，謂指示他人將金錢、有價證券或其他代替物給付第三人之證券。
前項為指示之人，稱為指示人。
被指示之他人，稱為被指示人。
受給付之第三人，稱為領取人。
