Civil Code Article 277

If there is one of the joint-debtors acquiring a claim against the creditor, to the extent of the amount of the share which is incumbent on such debtor, the other debtors may claim to offset.

連帶債務人中之一人，對於債權人有債權者，他債務人以該債務人應分擔之部分為限，得主張抵銷。
