The Special Education Act Article 7
The corresponding competent authorities shall set up a specific unit to take charge of special education services.All the personnel and administrators responsible for special education services in schools and preschools shall employ professionals with related special education backgrounds.The special education backgrounds in the previous paragraph are defined as taking three or more credits of special education courses, or participating in special education professional workshops conducted by the corresponding competent authorities for more than 54 hours.

各級主管機關為執行特殊教育工作，應設專責單位。
各級學校與幼兒園承辦特殊教育業務人員及特殊教育學校之主管人員，應進用具特殊教育相關專業者。
前項所稱具特殊教育相關專業，指修習特殊教育學分三學分以上，或參加各級主管機關辦理之特殊教育專業研習五十四小時以上者。
