Technical and Vocational Education Act Article 16
Technology oriented senior high schools, special course groups affiliated to general senior high schools and comprehensive senior high schools may draft plans for special programs and submit the same to the competent authority for approval, in order to offer the special programs for basic technical human resource for specific industries.The special programs referred to in the preceding paragraph may be exempted from the restrictions on students’ qualification, admission, division of school districts, curriculum and assessment for learning referred to in Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 of Senior High School Education Act.

技術型高級中等學校、普通型高級中等學校附設專業群科及綜合型高級中等學校專門學程為培育特定產業基層技術人力，得專案擬訂計畫，報學校主管機關核定後辦理專班。
前項專班不受高級中等教育法第六章、第七章關於學生資格、入學方式、就學區劃分、課程及學習評量規定之限制。
