Education Act for Indigenous Peoples Article 25

In order to establish a cultural support system for indigenous students studying and living on tertiary campuses, and to promote campus environments that are user-friendly for ethnic groups, the central competent education authority shall encourage tertiary colleges and universities in which the indigenous student population reaches a specific number or proportion to set up an indigenous student resource center and designate personnel specifically responsible to provide personal and academic counseling to indigenous students. The number or proportion shall be announced by the central competent education authority in conjunction with the central competent indigenous peoples’ affairs authority.The central competent education authority and the central competent indigenous peoples’ affairs authority may separately designate a budget allocation for discretionary subsidies for the required funds referred to in the preceding paragraph, depending on the need.
