Professional engineering consulting firms shall be insured against professional liability risks in a manner of mandatory insurance on a case-by-case basis. The minimum insurance amount shall be determined by the competent authority after consultation with the Ministry of Finance.The proposer shall not withdraw the insurance against professional liability risks mentioned in the preceding Paragraph unless consented by the client. In case of a change, termination or rescission of the insurance contract, both the insurance applicant and the insurer shall inform the client in writing.

工程技術顧問公司應投保專業責任保險；其投保方式採逐案強制投保，其最低保險金額由主管機關會商財政部定之。
前項專業責任保險，要保人未經委託者同意，不得退保；保險契約變更、終止或解除時，要保人及保險人應以書面通知委託者。
