Customs Anti-smuggling Act Article 16
Ⅰ.Where necessary for the suppression smuggling, Customs may request military or police authorities, or other relevant agencies to provide assistance.Ⅱ.In places other than commercial ports, military or police authorities may take anti-smuggling actions on their own if they find a violation of this Act. However, the results of their actions, together with the goods seized, shall be transferred to Customs for disposal.

海關緝私，遇有必要時，得請軍警及其他有關機關協助之。
軍警機關在非通商口岸發覺違反本條例之情事時，得逕行查緝。
但應將查緝結果，連同緝獲私貨移送海關處理。
