National Defense Act Article 6
The ROC Armed Forces shall remain neutral from individual, regional and party affiliations in accordance with the Act. Active servicemen are forbidden to undertake the following activities:1. Assuming positions offered by political parties, political groups and electoral candidates.2. Forcing active servicemen to join or help political parties, political groups, and electoral candidates.3. Establishing within military units to promote partisan spheres, party platforms and other propaganda activities.Any violation in this regard is subject to the MND's disposition by law.

中華民國陸海空軍，應超出個人、地域及黨派關係，依法保持政治中立。
現役軍人，不得為下列行為︰一、擔任政黨、政治團體或公職候選人提供之職務。
二、迫使現役軍人加入政黨、政治團體或參與、協助政黨、政治團體或公職候選人舉辦之活動。
三、於軍事機關內部建立組織以推展黨務、宣傳政見或其他政治性活動。
現役軍人違反前項規定者，由國防部依法處理之。
現役軍人，不得為下列行為︰一、擔任政黨、政治團體或公職候選人提供之職務。
二、迫使現役軍人加入政黨、政治團體或參與、協助政黨、政治團體或公職候選人舉辦之活動。
三、於軍事機關內部建立組織以推展黨務、宣傳政見或其他政治性活動。
