Conclusion of Treaties Act Article 5
In cases where the content of a treaty or an agreement that MOFA is in charge of involves the work of other authorities, MOFA shall maintain continuous contact with them or request that they send staff to participate.The competent authorities other than MOFA shall maintain continuous contact with MOFA and ensure that the wording and formatting on the document are all in order during the drawing up of a text or counterproposal, as well as during negotiations. The competent authorities may, when necessary, request that MOFA send staff for assistance. When the document is to be formally signed, MOFA may send staff to participate.

外交部主辦之條約或協定，其內容涉及其他機關之業務者，外交部應隨時與有關機關密切聯繫，或請其派員參與。
外交部以外之主辦機關於研擬草案或對案及談判過程中，應與外交部密切聯繫，並注意約本文字及格式是否正確合宜，必要時並得請外交部派員協助。
其正式簽署時，外交部得派員在場。
