In addition to meeting the aforementioned qualifications, diplomatic and consular personnel of senior rank stationed overseas must also meet at least one of the following qualifications:1. Have qualified for senior rank in accordance with the Civil Service Employment Act2. Have served in a senior rank position at MOFA or the Coordination Council for North American Affairs3. Have served in a senior rank position as diplomatic or consular personnel stationed overseas

簡任駐外外交領事人員，除須符合前條規定外，並應具有下列各款資格之一：
一、依公務人員任用法相關規定取得升任簡任官等任用資格。
二、任外交部或北美事務協調委員會簡任職務。
三、任駐外外交領事人員簡任職務。
