Regulations Governing the Administrative Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Article 12
The Department of International Organizations shall be responsible for the following:1. Observe and analyze the work of United Nations organizations; conduct planning; coordination and execution of efforts to promote participation in these organizations2. Handle participation, observation, and analysis of other international intergovernmental organizations, and multilateral cooperation mechanisms3. Maintain the nation’s right to participate in and interests concerning international intergovernmental organizations and multilateral mechanisms4. Other affairs concerning international intergovernmental organizations

國際組織司掌理事項如下：
一、聯合國體系各組織相關事務之觀察、研析與推動參與各該組織之規劃、協調及執行。
二、其他政府間國際組織、多邊機制之參與、觀察及研析。
三、我國參與政府間國際組織及多邊機制權益之維護。
四、其他有關政府間國際組織事項。
