Pawnshop Act Article 26
When a pledged item accepted by the pawnbroker or the clerk of a pawnshop in accordance with the provisions of this Act is found as stolen property, the owner may redeem it with the original amount of money advanced.When a pledged item accepted by the pawnbroker or the clerk of a pawnshop not in accordance with the provisions of this Act is found as stolen property, it shall be returned to the original owner free of charge. If the original owner has already redeemed the item, the money he/she has paid shall be refunded.

當舖業之負責人或其營業人員依本法規定收當之物品，經查明係贓物時，其物主得以質當金額贖回。
當舖業之負責人或其營業人員非依本法規定收當之物品，經查明係贓物時，應無償發還原物主；原物主已先贖回者，應將其贖回金額發還。
