DNA Sampling Act Article 4
The competent authority shall designate or set up a special unit to be responsible for the following:1. The identification, analysis, and storage of DNA samples.2. The collection, establishment, and maintenance of DNA records, type frequency, database, and demographics database.3. Providing DNA records and related data or identifying DNA samples when requested by prosecutors, courts, military prosecutors, military courts, or law enforcement agencies.4. The research and development of DNA identification technologies, procedures, and criteria.5. Other DNA-related matters.

主管機關應指定或設立專責單位，辦理下列事項︰一、鑑定、分析及儲存去氧核醣核酸樣本。
二、蒐集、建立及維護去氧核醣核酸紀錄、型別出現頻率、資料庫及人口統計資料庫。
三、應檢察官、法院、軍事檢察官、軍事法庭或司法警察機關之請求，提供去氧核醣核酸紀錄及相關資料，或進行鑑定。
四、研究發展鑑定去氧核醣核酸之技術、程序及標準。
五、其他與去氧核醣核酸有關之事項。
