Competent authorities may establish housing funds to develop a robust housing market, provide housing subsidies, provide social housing, and improve the quality of housing environments.Sources of funding for the central housing fund are as follows:1. Appropriated by the government according to budgetary procedures.2. Income from disposal of the fund’s property.3. Profits from building social housing.4. Interest income from the fund.5. Other income.Sources of funding for municipal, county (city) housing fund are as follows:1. Appropriated by the government according to budgetary procedures.2. Income from disposal of the fund’s property.3. Income from bulk rewards of urban planning.4. Income from sale of building bulk in urban planning.5. Income from donations for change of urban planning.6. Profits from building social housing.7. Interest income from the fund.8. Other income.

主管機關為健全住宅市場、辦理住宅補貼、興辦社會住宅及提升居住環境品質，得設置住宅基金。
中央住宅基金來源如下：
一、政府依預算程序撥充。
二、本基金財產之處分收入。
三、社會住宅興辦之收益。
四、本基金之孳息收入。
五、其他收入。
直轄市、縣（市）之住宅基金來源如下：
一、政府依預算程序撥充。
二、本基金財產處分之收入。
三、辦理都市計畫容積獎勵回饋之收入。
四、都市計畫增額容積出售之收入。
五、辦理都市計畫變更之捐贈收入。
六、社會住宅興辦之收益。
七、本基金之孳息收入。
八、其他收入。
