To increase the circulation rate of map information, promote the information standardization and improve the quality of maps, the central authority is obligated to establish the map information management system and act as the official institution that maintains a copy of all the maps published in the country.With respect to the maps published by government organizations (institutions), schools, individuals, legal people, groups or publishing houses, the publisher should deliver a copy as well as an electronic copy of the maps to the central authority concerned for filing purposes. The same procedure applies to maps that are re-published.
