Land Act Article 99
The cash deposit referred to in the preceding Article shall not exceed the total amount of two months’ house rental.If the cash deposit already paid exceeds the limit prescribed in the preceding paragraph, the lessee may use the excess deposit to counterbalance the house rental.

前條擔保之金額，不得超過二個月房屋租金之總額。
已交付之擔保金，超過前項限度者，承租人得以超過之部份抵付房租。
