Regulations for Determining Lack of Bad Conduct by Persons Applying for Naturalization Article 5
Where the applicant has performed at least 240 hours of voluntary service for public welfare purposes at a government agency or institution, an administrative corporation, a community, or other relevant entities, the three-year period specified in Subparagraphs 3, 4 and 6 of Paragraph 1 of Article 3 may be reduced to two years.
