Public officials Election And Recall Act Article 40
The periods designated for public official election and recall activities are as follows:1. Fifteen days for the election of mayors of special municipalities2. Ten days for the election of legislators, special municipality and county (city) councilors, mayors of counties (cities), mayors of townships (cities), and chiefs of indigenous districts3. Five days for the election of the township (city) council representatives, indigenous district representatives, and chiefs of villages (boroughs)The periods stipulated in the preceding paragraph shall be counted backwards from the day before election day; election campaign and recall campaign activities shall be conducted between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

公職人員選舉競選及罷免活動期間依下列規定：
一、直轄市長為十五日。
二、立法委員、直轄市議員、縣（市）議員、縣（市）長、鄉（鎮、市）長、原住民區長為十日。
三、鄉（鎮、市）民代表、原住民區民代表、村（里）長為五日。
前項期間，以投票日前一日向前推算；其每日競選及罷免活動時間，自上午七時起至下午十時止。

二、立法委員、直轄市議員、縣（市）議員、縣（市）長、鄉（鎮、市）長、原住民區長為十日。
